University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) is the first overseas campus of the University of Reading (UK), opened in 2015 at EduCity, Iskandar Puteri, Johor. As a wholly-owned branch campus, UoRM awards the same identical University of Reading UK degree, with the same curriculum, assessment standards, and quality assurance — at approximately 40% of the total cost of studying at the UK campus. All programmes are dual-accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in the UK.

Fee Reference Guide

The figures below are based on UoRM's published fee schedules. UoRM's fees are fixed for the entire duration of your programme — meaning no fee increases mid-study. Fees are denominated in Ringgit Malaysia (RM). International students are subject to a 6% SST on tuition fees effective 1 July 2025.

Foundation (IFP)

RM 31,000

Published tuition for the International Foundation Programme (international students). Domestic students: RM 26,000.

SST applicable for international students (6%). Accommodation not included.

Undergraduate (Full Programme)

From RM 112,400

Published tuition range across undergraduate programmes (RM 112,400 – RM 122,400 for a full 3-year degree). Approximately 40% of the total cost of studying at the UK campus.

Fees are fixed for the duration of the programme. SST applicable.

Postgraduate / PhD

From RM 135,000

Published tuition for postgraduate programmes including PhD qualifications (full programme total).

Living Costs (Estimate)

RM 1,000 – 1,500 / month

Estimated general cost of living per month (excluding accommodation), covering food, transport, books, and personal expenses. Subject to individual lifestyle.

Accommodation at Student Village or EcoNest Residence is budgeted separately.

UoRM is situated within EduCity — a purpose-built education hub with outstanding shared facilities including an Olympic-size swimming pool, IAAF-certified running track, multi-function indoor arena, and fitness centre. The campus itself features a learning resource centre, modern lecture theatres, labs with the latest AV technology, social spaces, and high-speed WiFi throughout.

Student Village and EcoNest Residence — both fully furnished with air-conditioning, 24-hour internet, laundry, shared kitchen, and common living spaces.
